KRK’s Lawyer Blames Bollywood, Claims He Has Been ‘Falsely Implicated’ In Shooting Case

In a dramatic turn of events, controversial actor and self-proclaimed film critic Kamaal R. Khan (KRK) has been sent to police custody until January 27, 2026, following a firing incident in Mumbai’s Oshiwara.

While the Mumbai Police claim forensic evidence points directly to KRK’s residence, his legal team has sparked a fresh controversy by alleging a “Bollywood conspiracy” behind the arrest.

The Case: What Happened?

The incident dates back to January 18, 2026, at the Nalanda Society in Oshiwara.

  • The Incident: Two bullets were found on the premises of the building—one on the second floor and another on the fourth.
  • The Forensic Link: While CCTV footage was initially inconclusive, forensic ballistic reports suggested the bullets were fired from a height and angle consistent with KRK’s nearby bungalow.
  • The Admission: Police officials claim that during questioning on Friday, KRK admitted the shots were fired from his licensed firearm, leading to his formal arrest on Saturday.

The “Bollywood” Defense

KRK’s lawyer, Advocate Nagesh Mishra, has vehemently denied the charges, calling the case a “fabrication” orchestrated by the film industry.

  • Distance Discrepancy: Mishra argued that the gun in question has a maximum range of 20 meters, while the spot where the bullets were found is 400 meters away from KRK’s home.
  • Industry Vendetta: Speaking to the press, Mishra stated, “Many big names in Bollywood are instigating the police to implicate him. The police are being misled because of his reviews and outspoken nature.”
  • The Victim: The lawyer further claimed KRK has no personal connection to Neeraj Mishra, the resident whose home was allegedly targeted.

Legal Status

KRK is currently booked under the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) and the Arms Act. He will remain in police custody for further interrogation until Tuesday, January 27.
