Seoul [South Korea], February 18: The untimely death of Korean actor Kim Sae-ron has shocked the entertainment industry and fans alike. The actress, known for her roles in The Man from Nowhere and The Neighbor, was 24 years old.

According to Seongdong Police in Seoul and Yonhap News Agency, Kim’s death has been ruled a suicide. Her lifeless body was discovered at her home in Seoul on Sunday by a friend, who immediately contacted the authorities.
Kim Sae-ron was a highly praised actor, celebrated for her work in both film and television. Her career had taken a hit following a controversial incident in 2022, when she was fined 20 million won (USD 13,800) for driving under the influence. Following the incident, Kim issued a public apology on her Instagram, stating that “there is no excuse for this distasteful incident.” The scandal led to her departure from the SBS drama Trolley and the decision not to renew her contract with her agency Goldmedalist.
Despite the setbacks, Kim continued her acting career, with her most recent appearance in Netflix’s Bloodhounds. She had previously earned critical acclaim for her role in A Girl at My Door, which won her Best New Actress at the Blue Dragon Film Awards. Kim had also won the same accolade at the Korean Film Awards for her performance in The Man from Nowhere.
The news of her tragic passing has left fans and colleagues mourning the loss of a talented and promising young actress.
