New Delhi [India], February 22 : Former Puducherry Lieutenant Governor and former IPS officer Kiran Bedi on Saturday highlighted the significance of the School of Ultimate Leadership (SOUL), calling it the brainchild of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. She emphasized that SOUL is designed to shape the leaders of tomorrow.
“I love talking to the youth because they are very clean at heart. They have energy, and that is what I told them — you are the richest. You have health, time, and energy… We are preparing the leadership of tomorrow, the young men and women who are participating in this,” Bedi stated. “SOUL is the brainchild of Prime Minister Modi… It is the soul of the world.”
On Friday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the inaugural edition of the SOUL Leadership Conclave at Bharat Mandapam. Bhutan’s Prime Minister Tshering Tobgay also attended the event alongside PM Modi.
The two-day SOUL Leadership Conclave, held from February 21 to 22, serves as a premier platform where leaders from various domains—including politics, sports, arts, media, public policy, business, and the social sector—share their inspiring life journeys and discuss key aspects of leadership. The conclave aims to foster collaboration and thought leadership, providing valuable insights into both successes and failures, with the ultimate goal of inspiring young minds.
In his address at the event, Prime Minister Modi expressed his hope that the SOUL initiative will cultivate great leaders who will emerge from the program to lead in diverse fields. He described the establishment of SOUL as a crucial step in India’s journey toward becoming a “Viksit Bharat” (Developed India).
PM Modi stated, “The development of citizens is very important for nation-building… The development of the best leaders in various fields is crucial and is the demand of time. That is why the establishment of the School of Ultimate Leadership is an important and significant step towards the journey of ‘Viksit Bharat.'”
