August 03, 2025: Gowtam Tinnanuri’s highly anticipated film, Kingdom, starring Vijay Deverakonda, has made a significant impact at the box office since its release on Thursday. The film, which also features Satyadev, Venkitesh, and Bhagyashri Borse, has been met with positive reviews and is performing well, despite a slight dip in collections on Sunday.
Kingdom Box Office Update
According to industry tracker Sacnilk, Kingdom had a strong start with an impressive ₹18 crore on its opening day. While the film saw a dip on Friday, collecting ₹7.5 crore, it rebounded on Saturday with ₹8 crore. Early estimates suggest that the film’s collections saw another slight drop on its first Sunday, bringing in around ₹7 crore. The total domestic box office collection for the film’s first extended weekend stands at an estimated ₹40.5 crore.
This successful run puts Kingdom close to surpassing the lifetime earnings of Deverakonda’s 2019 pan-India release, Liger, which had a total haul of ₹41.17 crore.
About the Film
Kingdom is an action-drama that tells the story of Suri, a police constable played by Vijay Deverakonda, who becomes a spy. He embarks on a mission to Sri Lanka, not only for the Indian government but also to find his long-lost brother, Siva, portrayed by Satyadev. Bhagyashri Borse plays Dr. Madhu, while Venkitesh takes on the role of Murugan. The film concludes on a thrilling cliffhanger, setting the stage for a new villain and a follow-up story.
The film’s producer, Naga Vamsi, has proudly stated that Kingdom was made to “Hollywood film standards” and is a technically brilliant film for 2025. Following the film’s release, he officially confirmed that a sequel is in the works and will be shot after Vijay Deverakonda completes his other scheduled projects.
