Washington [US], March 26: Reality TV star and entrepreneur Kim Kardashian is set to take the stand in a Paris trial next month, nearly a decade after she was robbed at gunpoint in her Paris apartment. The harrowing incident, which took place on October 3, 2016, during Paris Fashion Week, left Kardashian bound and gagged by masked men who stole an estimated USD 10 million worth of jewelry, including a USD 4 million ring given to her by her then-husband Kanye West.

Kardashian will testify in May, recounting the traumatic event to a jury. The trial, which is slated to begin next month, will involve 12 individuals standing trial in connection with the robbery.
The 42-year-old reality star has spoken about the ordeal in the past, including during a 2017 episode of Keeping Up with the Kardashians. She shared how she was awoken in the middle of the night by the sound of footsteps and was subsequently tied up and held at gunpoint.
“I saw two people arrive through the door, plus the night man who was tied up,” Kardashian recalled in the episode. “They dragged me out onto the hallway on top of the stairs,” she continued, adding, “That’s when I saw the gun clear, like clear as day. I was kind of looking at the gun, looking down back at the stairs.”
Reflecting on the terrifying moment, Kardashian said, “I had a split second to decide—do I try to run? But if I do, they might shoot me in the back. It makes me so upset to think about it.”
The robbery shocked the world at the time, with much speculation surrounding how the thieves gained access to Kardashian’s private apartment.
