Mumbai: Actor Kiara Advani, who welcomed her first child with husband Sidharth Malhotra in July, has hit back at a social media post linking her old comments about Kareena Kapoor to her newborn daughter. The reaction has sparked mixed responses online.
Kiara Reacts to Viral Post
On July 15, the couple welcomed their baby girl. A day later, Instagram page Bolly Masala shared a collage of Kiara and Kareena with the caption: “Kiara Advani wants her daughter to have Kareena Kapoor’s qualities. She and Sidharth recently welcomed a baby girl.”
Responding directly, Kiara commented:
“This was said during the promotions of our film Good Newwz. Kindly stop putting old interviews out of context.”

Her sharp response divided fans. Many applauded her for standing up against clickbait culture, while others felt she could have ignored it.

What She Had Actually Said
During promotions of Good Newwz (2019), Kiara had told journalist Faridoon Shahryar that she wanted “two healthy babies.” Asked about qualities of Kareena Kapoor she’d like her daughter to have, she replied:
