MUMBAI: Actor Gaurav Khanna, widely known as Anuj Kapadia from the hit television show Anupamaa, has quickly become a focal point of drama in the Bigg Boss 19 house. A recent heated altercation over food has not only turned the housemates against him but also prompted a wave of online reactions comparing his demeanor to that of the late Bigg Boss 13 winner, Sidharth Shukla.
A Fiery Food Fight and its Aftermath
The drama unfolded in a new promo video where writer-actor Zeishaan Quadri accused Gaurav of eating a significant portion of the day’s meal, leaving a group of seven housemates without enough food. “In just one serving, I ate lentils made for seven people?” a defiant Gaurav questioned in the clip.
As the argument escalated, Zeishaan accused Gaurav of taking multiple servings, while another contestant, Amaal Mallik, branded him a “liar.” Zeishaan went a step further, calling Gaurav “sabse bada jahil” (the biggest illiterate). The situation worsened when other housemates, including Baseer, called out Gaurav’s nonchalant attitude, pointing to his relaxed posture on the sofa with his arms spread out as a sign of his lack of concern.
In a move reminiscent of a classic Bigg Boss standoff, Gaurav ended the conversation by challenging his housemates, saying, “You think I took it? Go nominate me.”
