Khan Sir Backs 4.5 Lakh Students Seeking Re-Exam In BPSC Paper Leak Case

Popular educator and YouTuber Faizal Khan, widely known as Khan Sir, has extended strong support to the 4.5 lakh students demanding a re-exam following the alleged Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC) paper leak.

Khan Sir’s Call for CBI or ED Probe

Speaking to media, Khan urged the government to conduct a CBI or ED investigation into the matter, emphasizing that students’ concerns are valid and justified.

“Hearing on this is going on in High Court. The students’ demand for re-exam is legitimate. I would like to tell the govt to get CBI or ED inquiry into this (alleged paper leak). The 4.5 lakh students should get justice. If this protest goes on for long, then it won’t be good for the govt as well… I am sure there will be a re-exam soon,” he said.

Khan expressed optimism that the government would take a positive decision soon and reaffirmed his faith in the judiciary to ensure justice for students.

Legal Battle Over BPSC Paper Leak

Advocate Abhijit Anand also weighed in on the case, detailing legal actions taken:

  • A PIL was filed before the Supreme Court by the Anand Legal Aid Forum Trust regarding the BPSC paper leak.
  • On January 7, 2025, the Supreme Court directed the petitioners to approach the Patna High Court.
  • Following this, on January 21, 2025, the Patna High Court issued certain directions regarding the investigation.
  • Advocate Anand again approached the Supreme Court, requesting the preservation of CCTV footage from 29 centres, including Bapu Examination Center (which comprises 22 centres).
  • The Supreme Court warned that if the CCTV footage was destroyed, legal action would be taken against BPSC and Bihar government officials.

Students’ Protest in Patna

Thousands of students in Patna are demanding the cancellation of the Integrated Combined (Preliminary) Competitive Examination (CCE) 2024, which was conducted by BPSC on December 13, 2024. The case reached the Supreme Court, which, however, refused to interfere and dismissed the plea.

Despite the setback, protests continue to intensify, with growing demands for justice and transparency in the recruitment process.
