Kejriwal Claims CBI Raid On Manish Sisodia’s Residence Ahead Of Delhi Elections

New Delhi (India): Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) national convenor and former Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Monday alleged that the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) would soon raid the residence of senior AAP leader Manish Sisodia.

Kejriwal took to social media to make the claim, stating, “I had said a few days ago that Delhi CM Atishi ji will be arrested and some AAP leaders will be raided. According to reliable sources, there will be a CBI raid at Manish Sisodia’s house in the coming days. BJP is losing the Delhi elections. These arrests and raids are the result of their frustration. So far, they have not found anything against us, and they will not find anything in the future either. AAP is a staunchly honest party.”

Manish Sisodia, who previously represented the Patparganj constituency between 2013-2024, won the seat by a narrow margin in the 2020 Delhi Assembly elections. This time, he is contesting from Jangpura against BJP leader Tarvinder Singh Marwah.

The claim came just days after Kejriwal had predicted the arrest of Delhi Chief Minister Atishi, accusing the BJP of attempting to manipulate voter data in the New Delhi Assembly. Atishi had earlier alleged that the BJP was involved in a large-scale electoral scam, claiming that they were deleting and wrongfully adding votes through fraudulent applications.

“BJP is snatching the right to vote from the citizens. They are conducting a huge election scam in New Delhi. BJP is attempting to manipulate voter data by deleting and adding thousands of votes incorrectly,” Atishi said.

She further accused the BJP of orchestrating a massive electoral fraud in the New Delhi Assembly, citing over 10,000 applications for voter additions and 6,167 deletions between October 29, 2024, and January 2, 2025.

“The large-scale manipulation is evident in the voter data. More than 10,000 applications for voter additions were filed between 15 December 2024 and 2 January 2025, and 6,167 applications for deletions were made between 29 October 2024 and 2 January 2025. It is clear that a major electoral scam is underway in New Delhi,” Atishi stated.

As Delhi prepares for assembly elections in February 2025, the political landscape has become highly charged, with the Congress, AAP, and BJP engaging in a fierce battle and accusing each other of electoral malpractice. The dates for the upcoming Delhi Assembly elections are expected to be announced soon.
