Kejriwal Accuses BJP Of Lacking Election Agenda, Slams ‘Aarop Patra’

New Delhi [India], December 23 : Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) national convenor Arvind Kejriwal sharply criticized the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) for releasing an ‘Aarop Patra’ (chargesheet) against him and his government. Kejriwal asserted that the BJP has no clear agenda for the upcoming elections and questioned their achievements in Delhi.

In a media interaction, Kejriwal stated, “The BJP has no agenda to contest the elections. They should tell the people of Delhi what they have done for them in the last five years. AAP, on the other hand, has made significant strides in areas like electricity, water, women’s travel, roads, and more.”

He further challenged the BJP, asking, “What work have they done for the people? The law and order situation in Delhi has collapsed. They have done nothing but file chargesheets or curse me. They don’t even have a Chief Ministerial face.”

Earlier in the day, BJP launched its ‘Aarop Patra’ against Kejriwal and the AAP government. Anurag Thakur, addressing the release, criticized AAP’s promises, claiming the party failed to deliver on key issues like education, water, healthcare, and pollution. He said, “They promised to make Delhi’s schools world-class, but over 200,000 students still lack education. They promised 24/7 clean water, yet many families have to buy water from tankers. Despite their promises, 70% of patients are still forced to seek treatment in private hospitals.”

Thakur also lashed out at the AAP government’s handling of the Yamuna river’s pollution, stating that the celebration of Chhath Puja along the river banks had stopped due to the pollution. He criticized the government’s failure to address the pollution issue, stating, “Has the Yamuna been cleaned after ten years? Delhi’s AQI levels have remained dangerously high, and the Kejriwal government has failed to provide basic water access.”

The BJP leader further accused the Delhi government of blocking the implementation of the Prime Minister’s Jal Jeevan Mission, which was intended to ensure water supply to all households.

The political battle between the AAP and BJP heats up ahead of the 2025 Delhi Assembly elections. In the 2020 elections, AAP won 62 out of 70 seats, while the BJP secured only eight.

With both parties exchanging sharp barbs, the coming months are expected to see heightened political activity as the 2025 elections draw closer.
