Arvind Kejriwal, AAP Extend Full Support To Armed Forces Following Operation Sindoor: “140 Crore Indians Stand With Our Soldiers”

In a strong display of patriotism and unity, Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) national convenor Arvind Kejriwal lauded the Indian Armed Forces for the successful execution of Operation Sindoor, targeting nine terror hubs in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Jammu and Kashmir (PoJK). The strikes were carried out in the early hours of Wednesday in retaliation for the April 22 Pahalgam terror attack, which claimed 26 Indian lives.

Kejriwal: “The Courage of Our Soldiers Is the Faith of Every Citizen”

Taking to X, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal expressed unwavering support for the military and highlighted the collective resolve of the Indian people:

“We are proud of the Indian Army and our brave soldiers. 140 crore Indians stand with the Indian Army in this fight against terrorism. The courage of the Indian Army is the faith of every citizen. We are all together — united against terrorism. Jai Hind.”

Details of Operation Sindoor

Operation Sindoor saw the Indian Army, Navy, and Air Force join forces in a rare tri-services operation, mobilising assets and executing precision strikes against key Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM) and Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) terror infrastructures.
Sources told media that the nine targets included:

  • Four in Pakistan, specifically in Bahawalpur, Muridke, and Sialkot
  • Five in PoJK, housing camps known for cross-border infiltration operations

According to CNN, this marks India’s deepest strike into Pakistan’s undisputed territory since 1971, underlining the gravity and precision of the response.

Ceasefire Violation Follows Indian Strikes

Hours after the strikes, the Pakistan Army resorted to unprovoked ceasefire violations, targeting civilian areas across the Line of Control (LoC) and the International Border (IB) in Jammu and Kashmir.
The Indian Army confirmed that three civilians lost their lives in the indiscriminate shelling during the night of May 6–7, and added that Indian forces are responding in a “proportionate manner.”

National Unity Across Political Lines

Kejriwal’s statement adds to a growing chorus of bipartisan political backing for the Indian Armed Forces. Leaders from the Congress, including Rahul Gandhi, Mallikarjun Kharge, and Pawan Khera, have also extended full support, affirming that national security transcends politics.

Conclusion: India Stands United

As India deals with the aftermath of the Pahalgam attack and escalations along the border, Operation Sindoor is being seen not just as a military success, but a symbol of national resilience and unity. Kejriwal’s message underscores that from political leaders to common citizens, the country remains united in its stand against terrorism.
