Keanu Reeves And Sandra Bullock To Reunite For New Film, Decades After ‘Speed’

Washington [US]: Hollywood’s beloved on-screen duo Keanu Reeves and Sandra Bullock are officially reuniting for a new film project, marking their first major collaboration since the 1994 action hit ‘Speed’.

The upcoming film, still under wraps in terms of plot and title, is being developed by Mark Gordon and Josh Oppenheim, who brought the concept to both actors. The project will be a collaborative production between Bullock’s Fortis Films, Reeves, The Mark Gordon Company, and Prologue Entertainment.

Mark Gordon, known for ‘Saving Private Ryan’ and ‘The Day After Tomorrow’, will team up with Oppenheim and Sarah Bremner to produce. The partnership is backed by Prologue, a fresh banner formed by Lloyd Braun, Bremner, and Oppenheim, in association with Jeff Zucker and RedBird Capital.

The original ‘Speed’, released in 1994, was a global box office smash, earning over $350 million and catapulting Reeves and Bullock into pop culture stardom. Their onscreen chemistry remains one of the film’s most celebrated elements, prompting fan excitement over this new reunion.

Reeves, most recently seen in ‘John Wick: Chapter 4’ and as the voice of Shadow in ‘Sonic the Hedgehog 3’, continues to dominate action franchises. Bullock, last featured in ‘The Lost City’, drew audiences worldwide with nearly $200 million in global earnings.

More details on the genre, title, and release timeline are expected to follow.
