Los Angeles [US], June 21: Celebrity couple Kate Upton and Justin Verlander have welcomed their second child, a baby boy named Bellamy Brooks Verlander, PEOPLE reported.
Upton, 33, and Verlander, 42, are already parents to their 6-year-old daughter, Genevieve. The couple shared the joyful news of Bellamy’s arrival on Thursday.
The model-actress and the MLB star tied the knot in 2017, just days after Verlander’s World Series victory with the Houston Astros. He went on to win another championship with the Astros in 2022. After a stint with the New York Mets in 2023, Verlander returned to the Astros.
Speaking to PEOPLE in 2019, Verlander reflected on how fatherhood influenced his professional outlook, saying, “I would like to be able to play long enough that my daughter can see me and remember me playing baseball… Maybe if anything, it’s going to push me to stay in shape and stay healthy, and be a good pitcher as long as I possibly can.”
The family now celebrates a new chapter with the addition of baby Bellamy.
