Hollywood actress dazzles in Indian designer’s creations while sharing thoughts on recent wildfire devastation
Los Angeles [US], February 9:
Indian designers once again stole the spotlight at the 30th Critics Choice Awards, with their breathtaking contributions to Hollywood red-carpet fashion. Among the most talked-about moments was Kate Hudson’s stunning choice of accessories from Sabyasachi’s High Jewellery collection.
The Hollywood actress turned heads as she graced the red carpet wearing a pair of statement earrings and The Bengal Tiger ring, adding an opulent Indian touch to her ensemble.
Hudson, known for her elegant yet bold fashion choices, complemented the intricate jewellery with a black silk faille gown from Thom Browne. The backless design, featuring a dramatic silk satin bow, perfectly balanced classic sophistication with modern flair.
Hudson Reflects on Wildfire Devastation
Beyond the glamour, Hudson used the prestigious event to shed light on a deeply personal issue—the devastating wildfires that have ravaged Pacific Palisades, the community she calls home.
“I grew up in the [Pacific] Palisades,” Hudson told E! News, adding, “I think that it’s something that you would never imagine you’d ever see in your lifetime or experience.”
While the destruction has been heartbreaking, Hudson found hope in the resilience of the Los Angeles community.
“To me, it makes sense,” she said. “People who live in Los Angeles, we love Los Angeles, and everyone’s just risen to the occasion. Now we just have to go through that, continue to support each other and rebuild.”
Her sister-in-law, Meredith Hagner, who attended the event alongside her, also shared a touching account of how neighbours came together to protect homes.
“My canyon was literally saved by neighbours patrolling people’s houses,” Meredith revealed. “It’s unbelievable, really, how people come together.”
Hudson, a mother of three—Ryder Robinson (20), Bingham Bellamy (13), and Rani Rose (6)—previously expressed her relief and gratitude for her family’s safety. However, she admitted the situation has left a lasting emotional impact.
“Been a wild, life-changing couple of weeks for us in the Palisades and other affected areas, and so we’ve been going through it,” she wrote in a heartfelt Instagram Stories post on January 23. “Long road ahead, but so grateful for all of your love and kindness.”
Excited for ‘Running Point’ Premiere
Despite the challenging times, Hudson also expressed excitement for her upcoming Netflix comedy, ‘Running Point’, set to premiere on February 27.
Speaking with E! News, she shared her enthusiasm for the project, signaling her return to comedy and what she promises will be a must-watch film for audiences worldwide.
With her impeccable style, unwavering resilience, and passion for her craft, Kate Hudson continues to make a mark both on and off the red carpet.
