August 2, 2025: The Federation of Western India Cine Employees (FWICE) has written a letter to actor Kartik Aaryan regarding his alleged participation in an event organized by a Pakistani-owned restaurant. However, the actor’s team has issued a quick clarification, stating that he is not associated with the event and has asked for his name and image to be removed from all promotional materials.
The controversy began when FWICE sent a letter to the actor after seeing a poster featuring him as the lead guest for an event called “Azadi Utsav – The Indian Independence Day,” scheduled for August 15, 2025, in Houston, USA. The organization objected to the event being organized by a Pakistani-owned restaurant, Aga’s Restaurant and Catering.
In response, Kartik Aaryan’s team released an official statement, which read, “Kartik Aaryan is not associated with this event in any capacity. He has never made an official announcement about participating in this event. We have contacted the organizers and requested to remove all promotional materials featuring his name and image.” This statement aims to put an end to the controversy and clear the air about the actor’s involvement.
