Paris [France], May 14: Ahead of its much-anticipated premiere at the Cannes Film Festival, filmmaker Karan Johar unveiled the first poster of Homebound, starring Ishaan Khatter, Vishal Jethwa, and Janhvi Kapoor.
Johar shared the poster on Instagram on Wednesday, featuring lead actors Khatter and Jethwa. He captioned it, “Some bonds carry us through. Presenting the first poster for HOMEBOUND, directed by Neeraj Ghaywan and starring Ishaan Khatter, Vishal Jethwa, and Janhvi Kapoor. Premieres at the Cannes Film Festival on 21st May 2025.”
Adding to the excitement, legendary filmmaker Martin Scorsese has come on board as the executive producer of the film.
Directed by Neeraj Ghaywan, Homebound will be showcased in the prestigious ‘Un Certain Regard’ section at Cannes on May 21. This marks a significant moment for Ghaywan, whose acclaimed debut Masaan won awards in the same category at the 2015 edition of the festival.
The film is produced by Karan Johar, Adar Poonawalla, Apoorva Mehta, and Somen Mishra. Co-producers include Marijke de Souza and Melita Toscan Du Plantier.
In addition to Homebound, the Cannes lineup also includes screenings of Satyajit Ray’s classic Aranyer Din Ratri and Anupam Kher’s directorial venture Tanvi The Great.
