Karan Johar Reveals Ibrahim Ali Khan’s Bollywood Debut

Mumbai (Maharashtra) [India], January 29: Filmmaker Karan Johar is set to introduce Ibrahim Ali Khan, son of Saif Ali Khan and Amrita Singh, to Bollywood. In an Instagram post on Wednesday, Johar shared his excitement about Ibrahim’s debut and fondly reminisced about his long-standing bond with the Khan family.

Karan recalled meeting Amrita Singh, affectionately called “Dingy,” when he was just 12 years old. She had worked in his father Yash Johar’s 1984 film Duniya, and Karan fondly remembered their first meeting, especially a warm Chinese dinner they shared afterwards.

He also spoke about meeting Saif Ali Khan, whose charm and suave demeanor reminded him of Ibrahim’s personality. Karan expressed deep admiration for the Khan family’s contribution to the entertainment industry, describing films as being in their “blood, genes, and passion.”

Reflecting on his long history with the family, Karan noted this new chapter in his collaboration with them, having previously worked with Sara Ali Khan, Ibrahim’s sister, as a producer on Simmba.

Sara also celebrated Ibrahim’s debut, sharing Karan’s post on her Instagram stories and writing, “Welcome to the movies @iakpataudi.”

The announcement follows Karan Johar’s recent teaser about launching new talent, hinting at exciting stories coming from his production house, Dharma Productions. Ibrahim has previously worked as an assistant director on Karan’s Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani, which featured stars like Alia Bhatt, Ranveer Singh, and Dharmendra.
