Mumbai (Maharashtra) [India], March 31: Comedian and actor Kapil Sharma is set to reprise his role in the sequel to his 2015 debut film Kis Kisko Pyaar Karoon. The original film, directed by Abbas-Mustan, featured Sharma in a hilarious storyline revolving around multiple relationships.
The much-anticipated sequel, Kis Kisko Pyaar Karoon 2, takes the comedy in a fresh direction under the new director Anukalp Goswami. On Monday, Kapil Sharma revealed the first poster of the film, showcasing him dressed in a white sherwani at the altar, removing his floral sehra with a confused and surprised expression. Beside him, his bride, dressed in a blue lehenga, remains partially veiled.
Trade analyst Taran Adarsh shared the first look, calling it a surprise Eid gift from Kapil Sharma. He wrote, “Kapil Sharma – Venus – Abbas-Mustan reunite: ‘Kis Kisko Pyaar Karoon 2’ first look unveils… starring Kapil Sharma and Manjot Singh, directed by Anukalp Goswami, and produced by Ratan Jain, Ganesh Jain, and Abbas-Mustan.”
Although Abbas-Mustan will not direct the sequel, they will stay involved as co-producers. Anukalp Goswami, who worked as a writer on the original film and The Kapil Sharma Show, takes over as the director. Actor Manjot Singh, known for Fukrey, also joins the cast.
The first film followed Kapil’s character, Shiv Ram Kishan, as he unknowingly married three women while maintaining a relationship with his girlfriend, leading to hilarious chaos. It starred Eli Avram, Manjari Fadnis, Simran Kaur Mundi, and Sai Lokur in key roles.
With a fresh team and new surprises, Kis Kisko Pyaar Karoon 2 is expected to bring back the laughter and confusion in a grander way.
