Kantara Chapter 1 Chennai Promo Event Cancelled After Stampede At Vijay’s Rally

Chennai: The people behind Kantara Chapter 1 have called off their planned promotional event in Chennai after a terrible stampede at actor-politician Vijay’s rally in Karur that killed 41 people. The event, which was supposed to happen on September 30, was canceled out of respect for the victims and their families.

What Happened to the Event

Hombale Films, the production company, posted on Instagram that

“Because of the recent sad situation, we have decided to call off our Kantara Chapter 1 promotional event that was supposed to take place in Chennai tomorrow. We think now is a time to think about what happened and stand with those who were hurt. Our thoughts and prayers are with the families that have been affected. We appreciate your understanding and support, and we look forward to seeing our audience in Tamil Nadu at a better time.

The caption said again that their thoughts and prayers were with those affected and promised supporters that the team would talk to people in Tamil Nadu later.
