Kantara: Chapter 1, which stars and is directed by Rishab Shetty, has started its theatrical run with a bang. After the trailer came out, advance ticket sales for the movie started in Karnataka, which caused sales to skyrocket.

According to Sacnilk’s trade experts, the movie sold an amazing 47,210 tickets in all languages on the first day of advance booking, bringing in a total of ₹4.11 crore (with blocked seats).

Karnataka is in the lead

The main market, Karnataka, made up the majority of the first collection, bringing in ₹3.92 crore with blocked seats. City-by-city numbers show how excited everyone is:

Bengaluru had the most at ₹3.13 crore.

Kundapura came next with ₹3.82 lakh.

Davanagere got ₹3.81 lakh.

The significant first response, especially in Rishab Shetty’s home state of Karnataka, shows how much people are looking forward to the prequel to the 2022 hit movie Kantara.

A Huge Scale of Production

Hombale Films made Kantara: Chapter 1 is known to have action scenes on an unparalleled magnitude, which are meant to make the movie experience better:

Huge battle Scene: The movie has an important battle scene that was made with the cooperation of both national and international experts. Reports say that Bulgarian action expert Todor Lazarov (Juji), who is known for his work in RRR, was involved.

People and Time: More than 500 trained fighters and 3,000 people worked on the choreography and filming of this scene.

The scene was filmed on rough land in a town that was built just for the movie and covered 25 acres. It took 45 to 50 days to film, making it one of the greatest action scenes ever filmed in Indian cinema.

The film’s stunning visual and emotional landscape was shaped by a lot of work from the creative team, which included music director B. Ajaneesh Loknath, cinematographer Arvind Kashyap, and production designer Vinesh Banglan.

Release Date and Language Availability
Kantara: Chapter 1 will have a big theater release on October 2, 2025, taking advantage of the Dussehra/Gandhi Jayanti festival.

Producer Explains What Happened on Set

Earlier in the shoot, there were rumors going around about the supposed death of a junior artist. The producers quickly cleared things up, telling fans that “the incident did not happen on the set and that no filming took place on that day.” This put to rest any worries regarding the safety of the film’s difficult sets.
