Actor-politician Kangana Ranaut has strongly criticised the controversial song Sarke Chunar Teri Sarke, featuring Nora Fatehi and Sanjay Dutt. She accused Bollywood of “crossing all limits of vulgarity” and called for stricter regulation of such content.
The song, part of the upcoming film KD: The Devil, has sparked backlash for its suggestive lyrics and choreography. Kangana stated that the industry continues to rely on “attention-seeking tactics” despite widespread criticism.
Singer Armaan Malik also expressed disappointment, calling the lyrics a “new low” for commercial music. The controversy has escalated further, with legal complaints filed seeking a ban, citing obscenity and concerns over its impact on public decency, especially minors.
The song has since been removed from YouTube in its Hindi version, even as debates around content standards in Bollywood intensify.
