New Delhi [India], January 27 : Actress Kangana Ranaut has officially announced the start of her new film, marking her return to the sets after her recent release Emergency. The exciting project reunites her with her Tanu Weds Manu co-star R Madhavan in a psychological thriller.
Kangana shared a behind-the-scenes glimpse on Instagram, showing a clapperboard for the film and expressing her enthusiasm: “Nothing is more delightful than being on a film set.”
The yet-to-be-titled movie will be directed by Vijay, known for the successful Thalaivii, which also starred Kangana. Produced by R. Ravindran of Trident Arts, the bilingual film will release in both Hindi and Tamil. Music will be composed by G.V. Prakash Kumar, with Nirav Shah handling cinematography.
Kangana also took to social media in February 2024 to express her excitement about collaborating with Vijay again, writing, “After the incredible experience of Thalaivii, I’m happy to be basking in your glory again.” She also shared a selfie with Madhavan, captioned: “Back with my fav @actormaddy for another stunning script.”
Filming for the psychological thriller began recently in Chennai, with Kangana hinting at the unusual and exciting nature of the script. The film has already garnered significant attention due to the star-studded team behind it.
Meanwhile, Kangana’s last project, Emergency, released on January 17, 2025, where she portrayed former Indian Prime Minister Indira Gandhi. R Madhavan, on the other hand, was last seen in Hisaab Barabar, released on ZEE5 on January 24.
