Actor-politician Kangana Ranaut, fresh off her return to the fashion runway after several years, has named Prime Minister Narendra Modi as the political figure best suited to “ace the ramp” as a showstopper.
Speaking at a fashion event in Delhi, where she turned showstopper herself, Ranaut praised the Prime Minister’s style and overall persona.
“Our Prime Minister. He can definitely. He’s got great style,” the actor said, smiling when asked which politician could walk the ramp.
Ranaut elaborated that her choice went beyond just his wardrobe, focusing on his awareness and commitment to indigenous industries. “And he’s very aware. Not just politically, but socially. And he cares a great deal about Indian industries and Indian people… I think he would be a great showstopper.”
Kangana’s Regal Return to the Ramp
The actress made her comeback as a showstopper on Friday night for designer Raabta by Rahul, showcasing their latest bridal jewellery collection, Saltanat. Kangana looked regal in an ivory saree with heavy embroidery, complemented by striking emerald-and-gold jewellery and a flower-adorned bun.
This return marks one of her first major ramp appearances in a while, having previously walked for top designers and platforms like Khadi India at Lakme Fashion Week.
On the film front, Ranaut was last seen in Emergency and is preparing for her Hollywood debut in the horror drama Blessed Be the Evil, which is set to begin production this summer in New York. She will star alongside Tyler Posey and Scarlet Rose Stallone in the film, directed by Anurag Rudra.
