A resurfaced clip from the celebrity talk show Koffee With Karan has once again brought actor Akshaye Khanna’s introverted personality into the limelight. As Akshaye continues to receive widespread praise for his role in Aditya Dhar’s spy thriller Dhurandhar, an old confession by Kangana Ranaut about trying to flirt with him—and being ignored—has gone viral on social media.
When Kangana Ranaut Said Akshaye Khanna Ignored Her
The moment dates back to Koffee With Karan Season 3, where Kangana Ranaut appeared as a guest alongside actors Anil Kapoor and Sanjay Dutt. During a candid segment, host Karan Johar asked Kangana if she had ever tried flirting with someone who completely ignored her.
Without hesitation, Kangana named Akshaye Khanna.
“I tried to talk to him, but he never spoke to me. He doesn’t talk, he doesn’t talk to anybody,” she said.
Anil Kapoor, who was present on the couch, added humorously:
“Yeah, she told me ki yaar yeh dekhta hi nahi hai meri taraf (he doesn’t even look at me).”
The revelation amused both the studio audience and fellow guests at the time and has once again caught the internet’s attention.
Akshaye Khanna’s Reserved Reputation
Kangana and Akshaye previously worked together in the 2010 film No Problem. Over the years, several of Akshaye’s co-stars have spoken about his quiet and focused nature on film sets. Known for keeping to himself, the actor is often described as someone who avoids small talk and prefers staying in his own zone while working.

Akshaye Khanna is currently enjoying a wave of appreciation for his performance in Dhurandhar, which also stars Ranveer Singh, Arjun Rampal, Sanjay Dutt, and R Madhavan.
Looking ahead, he is set to make his Telugu debut in the PVCU film Mahakali, where he will play the role of Shukracharya. He is also scheduled to appear in the Netflix courtroom drama Ikka alongside Sunny Deol, marking a reunion with his Border co-star after 29 years.
