Kailash Kher Stops Gwalior Concert Midway Due to Unruly Crowd

Celebrated Sufi singer Kailash Kher abruptly ended his live concert at the Mela Maidan in Gwalior on Thursday, December 25, 2025, after the situation spiraled out of control.

The event, organized as part of the Gwalior Gaurav Diwas and Tabla Diwas celebrations to mark the birth anniversary of former PM Atal Bihari Vajpayee, turned chaotic when hundreds of fans jumped security barricades to reach the stage.

The concert, which began with high energy around 7:00 PM, saw a massive turnout that reportedly exceeded the venue’s capacity.

• The Breach: As Kher began performing his hits like “Jana Jogi De Naal Ve” and “Bam Bam Lahiri”, a section of the crowd grew restless³ Fans began jumping over the metal barricades and rushing toward the technical equipment and the main stage.

Earlier in the day, Union Home Minister Amit Shah had addressed a gathering at the same venue under heavy security. However, for the musical evening, the security arrangements proved inadequate for the surging crowd.
