Justin Timberlake Released After Court Ruling, 2024 Arrest Footage Shows Sobriety Test

The long-running legal battle over Justin Timberlake’s 2024 arrest has finally concluded with the public release of the full bodycam footage. On March 22, 2026, authorities in Sag Harbor, New York, made the video available following a court ruling that dismissed the singer’s claims that the footage would cause “irreparable harm” to his reputation. The video captures the now-infamous interaction where a young officer, seemingly unaware of the pop star’s identity, questions him about his “world tour.”

The footage provides a raw look at the June 2024 incident, showing Timberlake struggling through field sobriety tests. In the video, Timberlake appears unsteady as he attempts to walk in a straight line, eventually remarking to the officers, “By the way, these are, like, these are like really hard tests.” Police records noted his eyes were “bloodshot and glassy,” and the video confirms he repeatedly refused a breathalyzer test before being handcuffed.

While Timberlake’s legal team fought to keep the “vulnerable” footage private, the settlement allowed for its release with only minor redactions. The singer had initially been charged with Driving While Intoxicated (DWI) but ultimately pleaded guilty to a lesser charge of driving while impaired. His sentence included a $500 fine, 25 hours of community service, and a court-mandated public safety announcement regarding the dangers of drinking and driving.

This release serves as a final chapter to a PR nightmare that began two years ago. In his official statement following the court proceedings, Timberlake urged the public to learn from his mistake, stating, “Even if you’ve had one drink, don’t get behind the wheel.” Despite the viral nature of the footage, the singer is currently attempting to move forward with his professional commitments as the “Forget Tomorrow” era continues.
