New Delhi [India], December 12 : BJP President and Rajya Sabha Leader JP Nadda criticized Rahul Gandhi for engaging in mimicry within the Parliament premises, calling it “immature” and likening his behavior to that of a “college guy.” Nadda expressed disapproval over Gandhi’s actions, particularly mocking the Vice President of India, a constitutional post, and instigating others to continue the mimicry. He noted that the Congress leadership, including Sonia Gandhi, did not speak out against it.
Nadda also accused the Congress party of undermining the democratic system and attempting to delay important issues. He raised concerns about Congress’s relationship with George Soros, stating that the nation deserves clarity on this matter and vowing to take the issue to the public.
The comments came after Rahul Gandhi was seen on December 10 in Parliament, engaging in a mock interview with individuals wearing masks of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and businessman Gautam Adani.
Nadda also criticized Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge for his remarks against Vice President and Rajya Sabha Chairman Jagdeep Dhankhar. He condemned Kharge’s allegations, emphasizing that the Chairman’s rulings are final and should not be questioned. Nadda pointed out that Kharge had been given ample opportunities to speak in Parliament but refused, accusing the Congress party of deliberately creating disruptions.
The opposition INDIA bloc recently submitted a no-confidence motion against the Rajya Sabha Chairman, citing concerns over the handling of parliamentary proceedings. Kharge had accused Dhankhar of acting as a government spokesperson, and the bloc claimed the Chairman’s actions were hindering democratic functioning. The ongoing winter session of Parliament began on November 25 and is scheduled to run until December 20.
