Mumbai (Maharashtra) [India]: Bollywood star John Abraham is set to return to the big screen with The Diplomat, a gripping political thriller that promises to keep audiences hooked.
In a conversation with media, John shared his excitement about the film, emphasizing that it goes beyond just patriotism.
“I didn’t do the film just because it’s patriotic; I did it because it’s an emotional, on-the-edge psychological thriller.”
A Story Beyond Borders
Drawing a comparison with Hollywood’s Argo, he added:
“It’s like a film called Argo, and if you watch that film, it’s a true story about the US Embassy in Iran and how they had to get people out. You won’t move when you watch that film; you’ll just be glued to your seat. That feeling is what I got from The Diplomat.”
John further clarified that The Diplomat is not an India-Pakistan conflict film but should be viewed from a humanitarian perspective.
“This is not a typical India-Pakistan film. View it from a humanitarian angle,” he stated.
