Jeremy Renner to Release Memoir ‘My Next Breath’ Detailing Near-Fatal Snowplow Accident

Washington [US]: Hollywood actor Jeremy Renner is set to release his highly anticipated memoir My Next Breath on April 29, where he shares intimate reflections on his traumatic accident in early 2023.

Renner, known for his role as Hawkeye in The Avengers, was critically injured in January 2023 after being run over by his 14,000-pound Snowcat while trying to prevent it from striking his 27-year-old nephew, Alex. The horrific incident left him with over 35 broken bones and significant injuries to his chest and head, according to People magazine.

In a recent interview with the outlet, Renner revealed that writing the memoir was not only a healing process but also a way to face the trauma head-on.

“Writing about it has been very emotionally cathartic to have to go word by word through it all again. I don’t not talk about it. It’s part of my life every day, and it’s always a wonderful reminder of the strength of the human spirit and how fragile the body is and how badass it is at recovery,” Renner told People.

The memoir delves deep into his experience, including a chilling moment when he could literally see his “left eye with [his] right eye” after his head slammed into the pavement.

Despite the severe trauma, Renner remains optimistic and grounded in gratitude.

“I’m not haunted by the incident — not too often anyway — by the images, the sounds. But I am reminded of my new reality, and it’s wonderfully positive. I didn’t die.”

Renner’s memoir is expected to serve as an inspiration to many, shedding light on both the fragility and resilience of the human body and spirit.
