The second part of Wednesday Season 2 is set to bring more spooky surprises. Following the release of the first four episodes on August 6, the new trailer for the final four episodes, released today, offers fans a glimpse into the thrilling chaos awaiting Wednesday Addams.
Principal Weems’ Unexpected Return
The trailer confirms the much-anticipated return of Principal Weems (played by Gwendoline Christie). The last episode of the first half of the season ended with Wednesday (Jenna Ortega) being thrown from a window at the Willow Hill Psychiatric Hospital by Tyler (Hunter Doohan), leaving her in a coma.
The new trailer opens with Wednesday waking up to see Weems, who is dressed as a nurse. In a dreamlike sequence, Weems reveals her new role, telling Wednesday, “I am your new spirit guide. Surprise!”
Co-creator and showrunner Miles Millar had previously hinted at Weems’ return, telling Tudum, “Nobody in our world is truly dead dead.” He explained that the writers were determined to bring the character back due to the audience’s love for the Wednesday-Weems relationship. He promised that her return in the second half of the season would be “as confrontational as it is delicious.”
