Washington DC [US], March 16: Actress Jenna Ortega recently shared her thoughts on her brief uncredited role in the Marvel movie Iron Man 3, which starred Robert Downey Jr. in the lead. In an interview with Entertainment Tonight, Ortega revealed that her part in the 2013 blockbuster was one of her early acting jobs, but it was notably brief, with her lines being cut from the final film.
“I did it once. It was one of the first jobs I ever did. They took all my lines out. I’m in ‘Iron Man 3’ for a quick second. I take up the frame, I have one leg and I’m the vice president’s daughter,” Ortega explained.
Her co-star, Paul Rudd, who was also part of the interview, chimed in with optimism, suggesting that Marvel could bring Ortega back into the franchise. “Marvel is very good at laying those breadcrumbs, and so it might very well be that you come back. They should be so lucky to have Jenna Ortega in their franchise,” Rudd said.
However, Ortega remained less confident about a return, adding, “They even took my name away. I count that, then I move on.”
Despite her brief appearance in Iron Man 3, which grossed over 1.2 billion USD at the worldwide box office, Ortega went on to become one of Hollywood’s rising stars. She is best known for her roles in You, The Fallout, Wednesday, Beetlejuice, and X. Ortega is currently gearing up for the second season of Wednesday on Netflix, where she will be joined by Lady Gaga in a significant role.
Looking ahead, Ortega is also set to appear in Hurry Up Tomorrow, a film directed by The Weeknd, and is in talks for several future projects, including a remake of Single White Female, The Gallerist opposite Natalie Portman, and an untitled J.J. Abrams project, according to Deadline.
