Jeep India Slashes Prices By Up To Rs 4.84 Lakh Following GST Reforms

NEW DELHI — Jeep India has said that starting on September 22, 2025, all of their vehicles will be much cheaper. This decision comes after the government made changes to the GST that made the tax structure on cars easier to understand and made premium cars more available to buyers.

A business announcement says that the ex-showroom pricing of vehicles including the Compass, Meridian, Wrangler, and Grand Cherokee will go down by between Rs 1.26 lakh and Rs 4.8 lakh, depending on the model and variation.

Kumar Priyesh, Business Head and Director of Automotive Brands at Stellantis India, stressed how important clients are to the organization. “We’ve always felt at Jeep that we should offer great value together with our legendary skills. The GST reform is a big change that makes things clearer and cheaper for customers. We are happy to pass on the full advantage to our customers, which makes the Jeep lifestyle easier to get into than ever. This action shows that we are still dedicated to making sure that owning a Jeep is not just a dream for many more Indians.

The new, more logical GST rate of 40% will apply to all Jeep models. Before, they were in different tax brackets with variable cess components, which meant that some vehicles had an effective tax rate of up to 50%. The end of the compensating cess is a big reason why these prices have gone down.

Here is a list of the savings by model:

Model New GST Rate Applicable Maximum Price Reduction Compass 40% As much as Rs 2.16 lakh
Meridian: 40% off, up to Rs 2.47 lakh
40% Wrangler As much as Rs 4.84 lakh
40% Grand Cherokee As much as Rs 4.50 lakh

Jeep has announced that the new prices will be available at all of its locations across the country. The new prices will go into effect on September 22, 2025. The change is supposed to make people feel better about spending money and promote sales, especially as the holiday season gets closer.

The GST Council’s recent changes have made two primary tax brackets for vehicles: an 18% GST for small cars and a 40% GST for larger vehicles, like luxury cars and SUVs. They also got rid of the extra cess. This adjustment will make a lot of different kinds of cars, from cheap ones to expensive SUVs, more affordable.
