JD Vance Sworn In As 50th Vice President Of The United States

Washington, DC [US]: JD Vance was sworn in as the 50th Vice President of the United States on Monday, marking a historic moment in US politics. In a post on X, he expressed his gratitude and excitement for the role, stating, “It’s an incredible honor to take the oath of office as the 50th Vice President of the United States. I look forward to working alongside President Trump to serve the American people. Let’s Make America Great Again!”

The oath was administered by Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh at the US Capitol Rotunda in Washington, DC. Vance’s wife, Usha Vance, held the Bible while their daughter, Mirabel Rose, stood beside her. Their two sons were also present at the ceremony.

Usha Vance, an Indian-American lawyer from Andhra Pradesh, became the first Indian-American Second Lady of the United States. She completed her education at prestigious institutions, including Cambridge and Yale University.

Celebrations erupted in Vadluru village, Andhra Pradesh, where JD Vance’s in-laws reside. People burst firecrackers and cheered in celebration of his inauguration.

At the same ceremony, Donald Trump was sworn in as the 47th President of the United States. The event was attended by several high-profile dignitaries, including outgoing President Joe Biden, former Presidents Bill Clinton, George Bush, Barack Obama, and their respective families. Also present were business leaders such as Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg, Amazon founder Jeff Bezos, and Google CEO Sundar Pichai.

Trump, in his inaugural address, declared that the “golden age of America begins right now.” Reflecting on a near-assassination attempt during his campaign, Trump emphasized that “God saved” his life and expressed confidence in America’s future.

He proclaimed that “America will soon be greater, stronger, and far more exceptional than ever before.” Trump pledged to seize the moment and lead the country into a new era of success. “While the challenges ahead are many, we will overcome them with the momentum building in the United States,” he added.

With the inauguration, JD Vance and his team are set to work closely with President Trump in pushing forward their vision to make America “great again” and address the nation’s most pressing issues.
