New Delhi: The Jamia Millia Islamia (JMI) University has added new undergraduate (UG) programs in German and Japanese studies, as well as an advanced certificate in Child Guidance and Counseling for the 2025–2026 school year. The institution is still putting the National Education Policy (NEP) 2025 into action with these new courses.
The Four-Year Undergraduate Program (FYUUP) for a Bachelor of Arts (BA) in German Studies and Japanese Studies is meant to give students a full grasp of the cultures, including their literature, history, and society. The program also includes practical skills like translation and interpretation, with a focus on how to use them in the real world. JMI’s decision to start these programs is a smart way to develop India’s cultural and professional relations with Germany and Japan.
JMI has also started an Advanced Diploma in Child Guidance and Counseling, in addition to its language-based programs. The Rehabilitation Council of India (RCI) has authorized this course, and graduates will be able to register as RCI-certified counselors after finishing it. The diploma is meant to help students get good jobs in a wide range of disciplines, such as schools, hospitals, clinics, government agencies, and both national and international NGOs.
Students who want to take the new courses can do so by going to the university’s website and clicking on the official application link. New users need to sign up and then fill out an application form with their information. All three new courses have a deadline of September 6, 2025, for submitting the application form.
The start of these courses shows that JMI is committed to providing a wide range of academic options that fit the changing needs of the labor market and help India’s foreign partnerships.
