Jaipur (Rajasthan) [India]: Yashasvi Jaiswal was all praise for young Vaibhav Suryavanshi after Rajasthan Royals (RR) pulled off a stunning eight-wicket win over Gujarat Titans (GT), chasing down a daunting 210-run target in just 15.5 overs at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium.
Suryavanshi was the star of the night, hammering a breathtaking 101 off just 38 balls, an innings studded with seven boundaries and eleven towering sixes.
Following the match, Jaiswal — who contributed a vital unbeaten 70 off 40 balls — lauded Suryavanshi’s extraordinary performance.
“Incredible innings, one of the best I have seen. Hope he will do it for us for a long time,” Jaiswal said during the post-match presentation.
Speaking about their partnership, Jaiswal added, “I was telling him to just keep going, incredible today. He just played amazing shots, he practises well, works hard in the nets. He has the game and temperament, wish him all the luck.”

The young opener also reflected on the Royals’ efforts to close matches more effectively after a series of tight finishes in recent games.
“We were talking that somebody needs to stay and finish the game after the last three games. I was there luckily today and tried my best,” he noted.
Jaiswal reached a personal milestone during the match, surpassing 2,000 career runs in the Indian Premier League (IPL). His composed innings, featuring nine boundaries and two sixes, provided the much-needed stability at the top.
Speaking on the team’s approach going forward, Jaiswal emphasized:
“Our coach says one game at a time and we’ll give 100% each game.”

Batting first, Gujarat Titans posted a strong total of 209/4, led by half-centuries from skipper Shubman Gill (84 off 50 balls) and Jos Buttler (50* off 26 balls). Maheesh Theekshana was the pick of the bowlers for RR with figures of 2/35.
In response, Jaiswal and Suryavanshi unleashed a ferocious 166-run partnership in just 71 balls, dismantling GT’s bowling attack. Riyan Parag later chipped in with a brisk 32* off 15 balls, helping RR seal victory in just 15.5 overs.
