Earlier, Jaishankar had posted about a productive Quad Foreign Ministers’ Meeting held in Washington DC. He thanked Rubio for hosting the event and expressed appreciation for the participation of Australia’s Foreign Minister Penny Wong and Japan’s Takeshi Iwaya. “Attended a productive Quad Foreign Ministers’ Meeting today in Washington DC. The ministers discussed ensuring a free, open, stable, and prosperous Indo-Pacific, underlining the importance of this goal in their foreign policies.
