Poonch (Jammu and Kashmir) [India], January 31: The Indian Army has confirmed the killing of two terrorists in an ongoing gunfight in Jammu and Kashmir’s Poonch sector. The encounter began on Thursday night after terrorist movement was detected along the Line of Control (LoC).
According to the Army, upon detecting the infiltration, alert troops engaged the terrorists, which led to a heavy firefight. “The operation continued overnight, resulting in the neutralisation of two terrorists,” the Army stated in a post on X.
In addition, security forces have recovered a number of weapons and a war-like store from the area. The operation is still ongoing, with further updates expected.
Earlier, the Indian Army’s White Knight Corps had reported an exchange of fire with terrorists following the detection of their movement along the LoC in Poonch.
