‘I’ve Learned to Protect My Peace’: Tara Sutaria on Rumours and Negativity

Actor Tara Sutaria has spoken about dealing with constant speculation around her personal life, saying she now prioritises mental peace over public perception. The actor, who has recently been in the news due to rumours about her relationship with Veer Pahariya, chose not to directly address the gossip but shared how she handles negativity.

In a recent interview, Tara said she has gradually learned to safeguard her emotional well-being while living in the public eye. She explained that for her, success is not defined by fame or professional achievements but by inner calm, self-awareness and a small circle of loved ones.

The actor added that she has often chosen her personal values over career opportunities. According to her, losing a project would be easier than losing her sense of self.

Tara acknowledged that actors constantly face speculation about both their professional and personal lives. However, she said she does not feel the need to clarify every rumour publicly. As long as she and the people close to her know the truth, she believes that is enough.

Her relationship with Veer Pahariya has remained largely unconfirmed, and reports of their alleged breakup have also not been addressed by either of them. Recently, she also spoke out against online trolling after being criticised for appearing on stage with singer AP Dhillon, suggesting that false narratives and targeted negativity do not affect her.

On the work front, Tara is awaiting the release of her upcoming film Toxic, directed by Geetu Mohandas and headlined by Yash. The bilingual Kannada-English film also stars Nayanthara, Huma Qureshi, Kiara Advani and Rukmini Vasanth, and is scheduled to hit theatres on March 19.
