“I’ve Been Rocking Women’s Wear for Years”: Vijay Varma Redefines Fashion Norms at Lakmé Fashion Week
Vijay Varma opens up about gender-fluid fashion, embracing femininity, and pushing cinematic boundaries at Lakmé Fashion Week 2025.
Mumbai, March 29: Vijay Varma continues to prove that style knows no gender. The versatile actor turned heads at Lakmé Fashion Week 2025, where he not only made a statement with his presence but also with his bold views on the future of fashion.
“There’s no men’s or women’s fashion anymore—just style. And I’ve been rocking women’s wear for years,” Vijay declared in an interview with ANI, championing fashion fluidity.
Known for his fearless sartorial choices, Vijay said he enjoys playing with elements typically seen in women’s wardrobes.
“I enjoy the delicateness, the colours, the textures, the jewellery. The exchange between masculine and feminine fashion is fascinating, and I’m glad more men are embracing their feminine side,” he added.

On the sidelines of the fashion extravaganza, the ‘Dahaad’ actor was spotted indulging in some creative fun at the Magnum Dipping Bar, held at the Jio World Convention Centre, where he crafted his own bespoke Magnum ice cream.
Beyond fashion, Vijay is equally committed to pushing creative limits in cinema. He opened up about his upcoming projects, including the intriguing ‘Ul Jalool Ishq’ and the much-anticipated ‘Matka King’.
“Ul Jalool Ishq is a beautiful, rich love story—simple yet deeply emotional. And Matka King is one of those larger-than-life, epic tales about a man who found a loophole in the system and changed everything,” he shared.
Vijay also reflected on his journey and personal mission as an actor.
“My pursuit has always been to push boundaries—can I do more than what I did before? Luckily, I’ve had directors who see more in me than I see in myself. That’s been a gift,” he said.
With a fearless approach to both fashion and films, Vijay Varma continues to be a force to reckon with—blending bold choices with substance at every step.
