HEBRON, WEST BANK: Israeli soldiers shot and killed a Palestinian teenager who was driving a car toward them at a checkpoint in the West Bank city of Hebron on Saturday. A Palestinian bystander was also killed in the incident, according to an Israeli security official.
Details of the Incident
- The Israeli military initially stated that two “terrorists” were killed but later clarified that only one person, the driver, was involved in the alleged acceleration towards soldiers.
- An Israeli security official, speaking anonymously, identified the driver as a 17-year-old and the bystander as a 55-year-old man.3
