Tel Aviv [Israel]: Israeli leaders have strongly condemned the terrorist attack in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir, that took place on Tuesday and claimed multiple lives, including those of innocent tourists.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu expressed profound sorrow over the incident and extended solidarity with India in its ongoing fight against terrorism.

Our thoughts and prayers are with the victims & their families. Israel stands with India in its fight against terrorism,” the Prime Minister’s Office of Israel posted on X.
Echoing similar sentiments, Israel’s Foreign Minister Gideon Sa’ar also condemned the attack.
“Deeply saddened by the heinous terror attack on tourists in #Pahalgam, Jammu & Kashmir. Our thoughts are with the victims and their families. Israel stands united with India in the fight against terror,” he said in a statement.
In the wake of the attack, Union Home Minister Amit Shah chaired a high-level security meeting with all security and intelligence agencies. He later travelled to Srinagar on Tuesday evening to oversee security operations and briefed Prime Minister Narendra Modi on the evolving situation.
Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah, Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha, and other senior officials also participated in the security review.
A joint search operation has been launched by the Indian Army and Jammu and Kashmir Police in the Baisran area of Pahalgam, Anantnag, where the attackers are believed to have escaped.
The Chinar Corps, in a statement posted on X, detailed the timeline of the tragedy and the immediate response:
“On 22 April 2025, in a cowardly and heart-wrenching act of violence, the terrorists opened fire on innocent tourists and locals. In the immediate aftermath, Joint Forces oversaw the situation. Medical teams were swiftly mobilised and casualty evacuation commenced.”
They further noted that the attack has deeply impacted local communities:
“In response to this senseless violence and the anguish caused to local sentiments, a candle march was organised in Sopore, Ganderbal, Handwara, Bandipora, and other parts of Kashmir by the local populace. A Joint Search Operation has been launched… The search operation is currently in progress, with all efforts focused on bringing the attackers to justice.”
The terror attack in Pahalgam has triggered widespread national and international condemnation, with political leaders and citizens demanding swift action against those responsible.
