Israel Claims Ali Larijani Killed in Strikes; Iran Yet to Confirm

Israel has claimed that Iran’s security chief Ali Larijani was killed in recent airstrikes, though there has been no official confirmation from Iran so far. The claim was made by Israeli Defence Minister Israel Katz following overnight strikes across Iranian territory.

According to Israeli officials, Larijani was among the high-profile targets during the attacks. However, Iranian state media has dismissed the reports, indicating that a statement from Larijani may be released soon, raising doubts about the claim.

If confirmed, his death would mark one of the most significant losses for Iran amid the ongoing conflict, following the killing of Ayatollah Ali Khamenei earlier in the war.

Larijani, a former nuclear negotiator and close ally of Khamenei, was last seen publicly during Quds Day rallies in Tehran. The situation remains fluid as tensions continue to escalate in the region.
