Israel Defense Forces (IDF) International Spokesperson Lieutenant Colonel Nadav Shoshani has drawn sharp contrasts between Israel’s military actions and Iran’s recent missile attacks, claiming that while Israel precisely targets terror infrastructure, Iran is indiscriminately targeting civilian populations.
“Israel conducted precise strikes on terror targets, while operating a thousand miles away. Iran fired missiles indiscriminately toward the civilian population. One side conducts brave operations and has its civilians stay safe–the other side hides like cowards and targets civilians. That’s all you need to know,” Shoshani posted on X.
He strongly criticised global inaction, urging the international community to acknowledge that this conflict is not solely Israel’s concern.
“Once again, Iranian missiles are aimed at homes, families, children all over Israel. The world can no longer treat this as Israel’s problem alone. Silence is complicity,” he posted.
Highlighting the ongoing threat to Israeli civilians, Shoshani said people across the country are now sheltering as Iranian strikes continue.
“While we target and neutralize precisely global threats, Iran aims indiscriminately at the whole country and a whole people. Right now all Israelis are in shelters as Iran fires projectiles to threaten millions of lives. Another wave of attack is heading toward our people,” he added.
Earlier today, Israeli Air Force fighter jets bombed two airbases in western Iran, the IDF confirmed, as reported by The Times of Israel. These airstrikes targeted airbases near Hamadan and Tabriz, with the site in Tabriz reportedly “destroyed.”
In addition to these strikes, the IDF said it had also destroyed dozens of other Iranian military assets, including air defense systems, drones, and ballistic missile launchers.
Meanwhile, Magen David Adom, Israel’s national emergency medical service, raised the number of those injured in Iranian strikes to 35 people.
The IDF stated, “Iran launched multiple ballistic missiles toward Israel in the past hours. The IDF cannot, and will not, allow Iran to attack our civilians.”
