Iran Claims to Have Built Secret Weapons Factories Abroad, Refuses to Disclose Locations

When Iran’s Defense Minister Aziz Nasirzadeh said that the government has developed weapons factories in other countries, it shocked the globe. Nasirzadeh said on TV on Friday that the territories won’t be made public immediately away.

Nasirzadeh told state-run media, “We’ve built weapons factories in some countries, but we won’t say which ones right now.” The minister said this the day after Iran’s first military drills on its own since the 12-day conflict with Israel in June.

The Iranian navy is claimed to have employed missiles and drones to attack ships in the Indian Ocean during the current drills, which are called “Sustainable Power 1404.” Experts say the drills are a show of strength because Iran lost a lot of its air defenses and ballistic missiles in a recent air confrontation with Israel. Nasirzadeh also said that Iran had tested “new warheads in the past year that are both advanced and maneuverable.”

The US and Russia have been working together more closely in the military lately. For example, they sailed together in the Caspian Sea last month. Iran’s military goals have altered a lot since it stated it was developing weapons factories in other nations. The US and North Korea still don’t get along and are still talking about nuclear weapons, so this is really crucial.
