IIT Bombay and IIT Madras follow in second and third positions nationally, earning global ranks of 129 and 180 respectively. The rankings reflect the performance of Indian institutions across multiple metrics, including academic reputation, employer reputation, faculty-student ratio, internationalisation, and research impact.
