KANPUR – An IndiGo flight from Kanpur to Delhi was delayed for more than three hours when a rat was found inside the plane. This caused a lot of trouble for both passengers and crew.
The event took place after IndiGo flight 6E 2192 had landed in Kanpur and was getting ready to fly back to Delhi. Around 2:55 p.m., while people were getting on the plane, a cabin crew member and a few passengers saw a rat running around inside the plane. The sighting produced a lot of noise right away, which made people fear.
Long Search and Delay on the Tarmac
After the alarm went off, all 172 people got off the plane right away. A group of the airline’s technical workers and ground crew started a full search effort. The search for the mouse took a long three hours.
Sanjay Kumar, the director of Kanpur airport, confirmed the event. He said that the flight couldn’t leave until the rat was found and the plane was pronounced absolutely safe. The flight was supposed to leave at 2:55 p.m., but it didn’t leave Kanpur airport until 6:04 p.m. The airline has not yet made an official comment about what happened.
