The Indian embassy in Iran on Saturday issued an urgent advisory for its citizens, urging them to exercise “utmost caution” and remain indoors amid rising tensions after joint US-Israel military strikes on Iran. The advisory requested nationals to avoid unnecessary movements, stay updated on local news, and follow any further instructions from the embassy.
The embassy also shared emergency contact numbers for immediate assistance: +989128109115, +989128109109, +989128109102, and +989932179359.
The advisory comes after Israel launched a pre-emptive strike targeting Iran’s military, government, and intelligence sites, with the United States confirming its involvement. Witnesses reported explosions near Supreme Leader Ayatollah Khamenei’s office in Tehran, while sirens sounded across Israel and airspace was closed as a precaution.
Indian nationals in Israel were also earlier advised to exercise caution, follow local authority instructions, and avoid non-essential travel until further notice.
