Congress MP Shashi Tharoor, ahead of a significant diplomatic tour to five countries, reiterated India’s unwavering stand against terrorism, asserting that the nation will not be silenced by acts of violence. Tharoor is leading an all-party parliamentary delegation to Guyana, Panama, Colombia, Brazil, and the United States, aiming to amplify India’s message of peace, democracy, and zero tolerance for terrorism.
In a video message posted on X (formerly Twitter), Tharoor said:
“I’m heading off to five countries leading an all-party delegation… to speak about this horrendous crisis we were subjected to in which our country was attacked by terrorists in the cruellest possible way.”
Calling the mission one of “peace, hope, and truth,” Tharoor stressed the importance of ensuring the world does not remain indifferent to terrorism.
“We need to speak up with clarity and conviction… We don’t want indifference to triumph over the truth. It’s a mission that will one day remind the world that India stands for values of peace, democracy, and freedom—not hatred, killing, or terror. Jai Hind,” he said.
