New Delhi [India]: In a direct communication via the military hotline on Tuesday, the Directors General of Military Operations (DGMO) of India and Pakistan held talks following unprovoked ceasefire violations by the Pakistan Army along the Line of Control (LoC) and International Border, defence sources said on Wednesday.
During the conversation, India issued a stern warning to Pakistan regarding the recent violations and emphasized that continued provocations would be met with firm retaliation.

The Pakistani Army carried out unprovoked small arms firing on the nights of April 26-27 and April 27-28 in Kupwara, Poonch, Tutmari Gali, and Rampur sectors of Jammu and Kashmir. - Swift Retaliation by Indian Army:

In response to Pakistan’s alleged backing of cross-border terrorism, India has:- Suspended the Indus Water Treaty,

- Decided to curtail diplomatic presence in both countries.

The Cabinet Committee on Security (CCS) has granted full operational freedom to the Indian Armed Forces to determine the mode, timing, and scale of retaliation to any provocation.
