India Reiterates Zero Tolerance For Terrorism At UAE Forum: MP Shrikant Shinde Leads All-Party Delegation

Dubai [UAE]: Shiv Sena MP Shrikant Eknath Shinde, leading a high-level all-party Indian delegation to the United Arab Emirates, strongly reaffirmed India’s firm stance of zero tolerance against terrorism, highlighting the country’s repeated efforts toward peaceful dialogue and the consistent betrayal through terror attacks.

Speaking at a press conference in Dubai, Shinde said:

“India is the one nation that has initiated dialogues time and again. There are many examples where our Prime Ministers visited Pakistan… After the Lahore Declaration, came the Kargil war. So every time we initiated a dialogue, the answer was a terrorist attack. Their only motive is to destabilize a progressing India.”

He stressed India’s rising global profile, pointing out that India is currently the fifth-largest economy and is projected to soon become the third-largest, after the United States and China.

“We always respond with restraint. But this time, too, the ceasefire was at Pakistan’s request—without third-party mediation. Our message to the world is clear: India stands for zero tolerance against terrorism, and we call on other nations to stand firmly with us.”

Earlier, the delegation interacted with the Indian diaspora in the UAE, sharing insights about ‘New India’ and the ‘new normal’ following the Pahalgam terror attack and India’s robust military response, Operation Sindoor.

BJD MP Sasmit Patra, speaking at the event, echoed the country’s hardened resolve:

“Operation Sindoor has made it clear: For every terrorist attack, we will ensure more than 100 terrorists are eliminated. This is the new India.”

The delegation also met with Sheikh Nahyan Mabarak Al Nahyan, UAE’s Minister of Tolerance and Co-Existence, who expressed his condolences for the lives lost in the Pahalgam attack.

Throughout the visit, the delegation highlighted issues of cross-border terrorism and attempts by Pakistan to sow social discord within India. The mission of the delegation is to project India’s national consensus and unified resolve to fight terrorism on global platforms.

Operation Sindoor, launched in retaliation to the Pahalgam attack, involved precision strikes by Indian forces on terror infrastructure in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK). After intense military exchanges, both nations agreed to halt operations following a request from Pakistan’s Director General of Military Operations (DGMO) to his Indian counterpart.
